WATC Enrollment

“The journey of a million miles begins with a single step.” – Lao-tzu

We are excited that you are taking your first steps toward a bright future with us here at the Western Arkansas Technical Center. Below you will find a detailed list of instructions to help you get started.

Innovative Programming:

Our career-focused courses are designed in collaboration with some of the nation's largest manufacturers and taught by experienced faculty from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.

Hands-On Learning:

Students use industry-leading technology at both the UAFS campus and, thanks to a partnership with Fort Smith Public Schools, the state-of-the-art Peak Innovation Center.

Direct Career Pathways:

Through WATC programs, students gain direct connections to regional career opportunities, earn competitive salaries upon high school graduation, and prepare to thrive in college.

College Credit:

Courses are taught by UAFS faculty, which means you earn college credit while you learn. You gain new skills and a head start on your college degree.

Interested in applying? Please follow the steps below:

Complete the Application for Concurrent Admission

Complete the Participation Agreement Form.

The participation agreement form will need to be signed by the student, parent/guardian, and school official (counselor or principal).

Connect with your high school counselor to submit your registration form, test scores, and transcript.

Submit your transcript and test scores. Your high school transcript with test scores must be supplied through your high school counselor.  This provides UAFS with information that shows you are academically ready to start taking college courses.
