UAFS tailors its admission requirements to fit each type of student. Select your student
category below to discover your admission criteria and scholarship opportunities.
- Apply for Admission
- Your eligibility for readmission to the university depends on your standing at the time you left UAFS per the guidelines set forth in the UAFS Undergraduate Catalog.
- Submit all official transcripts (not including UAFS)
- Provide proof of immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. Immunity can be shown by providing proof of having received two doses of measles, two doses of mumps, and two doses of rubella vaccine.
- After admittance to the university, you will be notified of your advising coordinator through your UAFS Application Status Portal.
- Admitted degree-seeking returning students may register with currently enrolled students as per the Academic and Registration Calendar.
NOTE: If you are returning within one (1) calendar year (one fall term, one spring term, and one summer term), you may contact your advisor for course registration without reapplying.

- Submit your official transcript for your current institution
- An unofficial transcript may be required to show completion of pre-requisite courses.
- Provide proof of immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. Immunity can be shown by providing proof of having received two doses of measles, two doses of mumps, and two doses of rubella vaccine.
An international student is one whose citizenship is in another country and who is applying for an I-20 form from UAFS to obtain a student (F1) visa. International student applications, requests for information, and questions should be referred to the Office of International Relations a 479-788-7977 or International@cellphonejoys.com. Decisions made regarding admission and immigration are separate. A student cannot be denied admission due to not meeting immigration requirements. Veterans must follow the same admission requirements as their student type (first-time entering, transfer, returning, etc.). Please visit the Veteran's Resource page for additional information.

Students enrolling in the university for the first time must meet Admission or Lions
Scholar criteria.
Admission
Applicants must meet the Lion Scholars Admission criteria and ONE of the following:
- Composite ACT score of 19. SAT and ACCUPLACER equivalents are acceptable.
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 higher
- High school placement in the top 50 percent of the applicant's graduating high school class
- College-ready minimums on English, reading, and math subsections on the ACT. SAT and
ACCUPLACER equivalents are acceptable.
Lion Scholars Admission
The Lion Scholars program offers intentional connections to academic support services to assure your success at UAFS.
- Composite ACT score of 15 with minimum developmental level scores in each subsection (13 math, 15 reading, and 15 English). SAT and ACCUPLACER equivalents are acceptable,
AND
- A cumulative high school GPA of 2.25 or higher
All new freshman applicants graduating from an Arkansas public school or Arkansas public charter school should be in the process of becoming a Smart Core Graduate as established by the Arkansas Department of Education.
- Apply for admission to UAFS.
- Submit official transcripts for all schools attended. Transcripts should show successful completion of entry-level English, reading, and math courses. Testing may be required if this is not shown.
- Proof of immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. Immunity can be shown by providing proof of having received two doses of measles, two doses of mumps, and two doses of rubella vaccine.
- Students who have fewer than 13 college credit hours are required to submit official high school transcripts or GED scores.
